30th Anniversary Tour 2026

There’s no party like an Anchorage party - especially when the summer’s on the tip of our tongues and everyone’s itching to get out again after the long hunker down. And us right here at Atwood Hall, tucked riiiiight in the heart of downtown Anchorage, are beyond pumped to welcome Pink Martini to Alaska this spring as part of their worldwide, multi year long 30th Anniversary Tour. From Paris to Portland, from Warsaw to Los Angeles, and now all the way in the true north here in Anchorage, this little orchestra is bringing their international flair to the Last Frontier for a once in a lifetime night of music, elegance and class, and lots of dancing in the crowd. Thirty years in the making, and we really can’t miss this sound, culture, and connection here in our home of music.

Pink Martini is the smooth-as-silk, genre-bending band you’ve definitely heard before but probably didn’t recognize you were listening to — maybe while sipping a cocktail, scrolling through a film soundtrack, or wandering through a record store — the kind of music that makes you stop, sway, and smile even for half a second. Founded in 1994 by pianist and bandleader Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon, the group began as a way to bring sophistication and excitement to local political events happening around the West coast. Realizing he needed a voice to match his piano, Lauderdale called up his former Harvard classmate China Forbes, and together they struck gold. By 1997, their debut single Sympathique was nominated for Song of the Year in France — a dazzling start to what would become a three-decade-long adventure. Since then, Pink Martini has become one of the world’s most beloved touring ensembles, performing in over 35 countries and singing in more than 25 languages. Their blend of Latin rhythms, jazzy orchestrations, and multilingual charm has turned every performance into a passport stamp of sound. “Our repertoire is wildly diverse,” Lauderdale once said. “At one moment you feel like you’re in a samba parade in Rio, and the next, a 1930s music hall in Paris.”

So — Anchorage, y’all ready for this!? Time to fall into the arms of Pink Martini (and the chairs we have here too) - right here on Saturday the 18th. Bring your friends, grab a drink, and come travel the world with us — no passport needed.
